ARIA calls you back in minutes
Industrial Aerial Solutions is a 100% Indigenous owned geospatial data company based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. IAS flies a DJI Matrice 350 RTK with Zenmuse L2 LiDAR and H20N thermal payloads to deliver centimetre level point clouds, orthomosaics, 3D models, thermal surveys and infrastructure inspection data across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The company holds a Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certificate, which permits operations in controlled and restricted airspace.

03 / Why IAS
Anyone can put a drone in the air. IAS exists for what happens after the flight, turning raw capture into data products for decision support: point clouds, orthomosaics, thermal maps and volumetric reports your engineers, estimators and councils can act on.
RTK-corrected positioning on every mission, so measurements hold up when decisions depend on them.
Deliverables built for the people who use them, GIS-ready, CAD-friendly, decision-ready.
One call, one accountable pilot, wheels up fast, anywhere in Western Canada.
Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certificate and restricted-airspace qualification open sites others can't fly.
04 / Equipment
Flagship industrial platform with RTK positioning, the workhorse behind every mission.
Dense, centimetre-level point clouds, even under vegetation canopy.
Hybrid thermal + optical night-vision payload for inspections around the clock.
Agile sub-250 g platform for tight spaces and rapid-response capture.
05 / About
I’m a Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certified pilot based in Abbotsford, BC, serving all of Western Canada. Every flight and dataset is handled by me personally, not subcontracted out. I fly a DJI Matrice 350 RTK with Zenmuse L2 LiDAR to capture centimetre-level geospatial data that construction, engineering, government, and environmental teams rely on for confident decisions, including firefighting support and search-and-rescue.
I founded Industrial Aerial Solutions with a clear vision: precise, dependable work that happens on the land and reflects my values. Proudly 100% Indigenous-owned. My greatest accomplishment isn’t a project or a certificate, it’s my wife and four kids, and a life built on faith, family, and honouring where I come from.
06 / Coverage
Based in Abbotsford and mobilizing across four provinces. Pick your region to see the sites, industries and airspace we work in there.
Home base. Agriculture, aggregates, Highway 1 corridor and the Sumas Prairie, inside the YXX control zone.
Chilliwack, Mission, Agassiz and Hope. Dikes, farmland, gravel operations and forestry roads.
Metro Vancouver, Surrey and Burnaby. Dense urban airspace where Advanced RPAS certification matters most.
Thompson Nicola mining, ranchland, rail corridors and the wildfire interface.
Northern BC forestry, mills, resource roads and the gateway to remote and fly in work.
Southern Alberta energy, pipeline right of way, land development and Bow River terrain.
Alberta's Industrial Heartland, refineries, municipal infrastructure and northern resource corridors.
BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, plus remote and fly in sites on request.
07 / Investment
No runaround. Here is what our most consistent work actually costs, and exactly what drives the number on everything else.
$250 to $1,200
Per shoot. Driven by site size, travel, edit scope and delivery format.
Project quote
Scoped on block size, passes through the season and travel. Volume pricing on larger blocks and repeat flights.
Project quote
Full enterprise platform on site with pilot. Scoped on mission length, payload, travel and processing.
Project quote
Scoped on area, required point density, terrain, canopy and deliverable list.
Project quote
Scoped on asset count, access, airspace authorization and reporting depth.
Contract based
Standing offers, supply arrangements and multi year monitoring programs.
What moves the price: total area, required accuracy and point density, canopy and terrain, how far the site is from Abbotsford, whether airspace authorization is needed, how many deliverable formats you want, and turnaround. Repeat monitoring work costs less per visit than a one off.
What is always included: flight planning and regulatory clearance, RTK referenced acquisition, processing, a QA and accuracy report with the data, and secure cloud delivery.
08 / Credentials
Industrial Aerial Solutions is a 100% Indigenous owned Canadian business, founded in 2024 and based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The owner flies every mission and processes every dataset personally. Nothing is subcontracted.
For public sector buyers that ownership is not a footnote. Federal, provincial and municipal procurement across Canada increasingly carries Indigenous participation targets, and awarding aerial data work to IAS counts toward them while still buying enterprise grade LiDAR and thermal capability.
On accuracy claims: IAS delivers centimetre level geospatial data products for decision support. IAS is not a licensed BC Land Surveyor and does not perform legal surveys or boundary determinations. Your surveyor or engineer certifies. We supply the data they work from.
The higher of Canada's two RPAS certificate levels. Permits controlled airspace operations that Basic certificate holders cannot fly.
Able to obtain Special Flight Operations Certificates and airspace authorizations for work near airports, heliports and infrastructure corridors.
DJI Matrice 350 RTK with Zenmuse L2 LiDAR and H20N thermal. Uncommon in the BC market at this class.
Being pursued for cross border work into the United States.
09 / FAQ
Aerial photography and video runs $250 to $1,200 per shoot. Everything else is quoted per project, because price is driven by area, required point density, canopy, terrain, travel from Abbotsford and the deliverable list. NDVI mapping, LiDAR, photogrammetry and thermal inspection are each scoped individually, and municipal and government work is normally contract based.
DJI publishes system accuracy for the Zenmuse L2 at 5 cm horizontal and 4 cm vertical at 150 m with RTK fixed. Real accuracy in a deliverable depends on flight altitude, base station setup, ground control density, terrain relief and weather. Industrial Aerial Solutions documents achieved accuracy against checkpoints in a QA report supplied with every dataset, so the number in your file is measured rather than quoted from a brochure.
No. Industrial Aerial Solutions supplies centimetre level geospatial data products for decision support. It is not a licensed BC Land Surveyor and does not perform legal surveys or boundary determinations. In practice the two work together: IAS collects dense, accurate aerial data quickly over large areas, and your surveyor or engineer reviews, marks up and certifies it.
Yes. Operating in controlled airspace in Canada requires a Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certificate, which Industrial Aerial Solutions holds, plus an airspace authorization for the specific operation. Many industrial and municipal sites in BC and Alberta sit inside airport control zones, so an operator holding only a Basic certificate cannot legally fly them.
British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, plus remote and fly in sites on request. The company is based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and regularly works the Fraser Valley, Metro Vancouver, Kamloops, Prince George, Calgary and Edmonton.
Yes. Industrial Aerial Solutions is 100% Indigenous owned and operated, founded in 2024 and based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This matters for public sector buyers working to Indigenous procurement targets at the federal, provincial and municipal level.
Mobilization depends on distance, weather and whether airspace authorization is needed. Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley work can normally be scheduled quickly. Interior, northern BC and Alberta work is planned around travel and any required Special Flight Operations Certificate. Send the site location and target date and you get a realistic window, not an optimistic one.
Depending on the service: classified point clouds in LAS or LAZ, digital terrain and surface models, contours in DXF or SHP, orthomosaics, 3D mesh models, radiometric thermal imagery with fault annotations, volume reports, and a QA and accuracy report with project metadata. Formats and coordinate reference system are confirmed at scoping so the data drops straight into your CAD or GIS environment.
